At a time when courageous people of Iran are fighting for freedom, human rights and democracy under the most difficult conditions, our responsibility to become more active in the diaspora is also growing.
The “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising has moved many Iranians - both in the country and in the diaspora - to campaign for a democratic Iran. Numerous groups, campaigns and initiatives have been launched to initiate change.
These efforts have contributed much to the visibility of the democracy movement. Nevertheless, it has not been possible to achieve a fundamental, positive change for the people of Iran. We are still lacking a common, sustainable, long-term strategy.
One thing is clear: Iranians in the diaspora can only be effective if they are organized, coordinated and united.
Now is the time to form a democratic and effective force.
Let us establish
a Parliament
in Exile!
The Iranian opposition needs an independent, neutral platform for political self-organization. To this end, we - together with other groups and organizations - want to establish a parliament in exile.
This parliamentary institution is intended to create a platform for constructive dialog, the exchange of visions and the development of concrete strategies for Iran’s transition to a democratic order.
The parliament in exile should also make it possible to elect a democratically legitimized leadership - a leadership that represents with transparency and determination the demands for a free, just and pluralistic future for Iran.
Our project is open to anyone who wants to work for a democratic future for Iran.
Let us take this responsibility upon ourselves. Let us set up a parliament in exile. Now.

“The law exists for the sake of the nation, not the nation for the sake of the law.”
